POST-ISSUANCE REASSIGNMENTS
Includes patent number and issue date, former assignee, new assignee, reassignment type, and date of reassignment. Contains records of reassignments registered with the U.S. Patent Office since 1980, affecting over 480,000 U.S. patents.
REEXAMINATION REQUESTS AND RESULTS
Record contains the patents number and issue date, name of the party requesting reexamination, the location of the reexamination requestor, the reexamination request number and date, and the reexamination certificate date. Also included is the text from the reexamination certificate describing results of the reexamination. The database provides records of all reexamination results which were published in the Official Gazette since 1981 and all reexamination requests published since 1980.
EXPIRATIONS/REINSTATEMENTS
Includes patent number and issue date, patent assignee, effective date of expiration or reinstatement and date the notice appeared in the Official Gazette. Information on expiration is available for all patents for which maintenance fees were required.
DISCLAIMERS/DEDICATIONS
Includes patent number and issue date, patent assignee, reference to specific claims affected, effective date of the action, date the notice appeared in the Official Gazette. Includes notices of disclaimers and dedications published in the Official Gazette since 1980.
ADVERSE DECISIONS IN INTERFERENCE ACTIONS
Includes patent number and issue date, decision, the date the notice appeared in the Official Gazette. Provides references to all adverse decision notices published in the Official Gazette since 1980.
REISSUE REQUESTS
Includes the reissue patent number if the reissue has been published. Updated weekly.
CERTIFICATES OF CORRECTION NOTICES
Contains certificate of correction notifications from February 1998 forward. (Certificate of correction notifications issued from January 1983 to January 1998 can be found in the CLAIMS® U.S. Patents Database.) The CLAIMS® Current Patent Legal Status Database is updated on a weekly basis.
